Virgin Australia has been flooded with praise online after a heartwarming post about one of its employees went viral.
The airline shared a photo on Facebook of Alle Sayers, a woman with Down syndrome, proudly working in her red Virgin uniform at Melbourne Airport — and the internet couldn’t get enough.

A Viral Moment Of Inclusion
The July 14 post quickly racked up likes and shares, with thousands of people celebrating the airline’s commitment to inclusive hiring.
Alle, who lives in Melbourne, has been officially recognised as a permanent part-time receptionist with Virgin Australia.
Her story resonated far beyond Australia, with comments pouring in from around the world. One Filipino commenter even wrote that they hoped airlines in the Philippines would follow suit.
Virgin Australia revealed that Alle recently played a key role at a Down Syndrome conference in Australia, where her contributions were described as invaluable.
Paul Woosnam, the airline’s general manager, said Alle has been an exceptional employee and a shining example of what inclusive workplaces can achieve.

A Beacon Of Hope
Alle’s story has been described as inspirational, showing how individuals with disabilities can thrive when given the chance.
Her father, a businessman, said he couldn’t be prouder — and promised he’d always remain loyal to Virgin Australia for giving his daughter the opportunity to shine.
He added that the airline’s respect for individuality and diversity sets an example other companies should follow.
Inspiring Change
The post has sparked calls for more airlines — and more companies in general — to adopt similar inclusive hiring practices.
As one user put it: “This is the kind of leadership the world needs more of. Well done Virgin Australia.”
