Haribo Fans Are Only Just Realizing What Tangfastics ‘Key’ Sweet Actually Is

Haribo lovers have been left gobsmacked after learning that one of the most popular Tangfastics sweets isn’t what they thought it was.

For years, people have been happily chomping away at the fizzy treat, believing it was shaped like a little key. Turns out? Not even close.

A Marriage Disagreement Turned Internet Debate

The revelation all started when one bloke took to Reddit to settle an ongoing argument with his wife.

He wrote: “After five years of marriage, we’ve just discovered that my wife and I refer to this particular Haribo sweet as something different to each other. What do you call this Haribo?”

That innocent question quickly blew up, with snack fans piling in with their opinions.

Some swore blind it was a key, others argued it was a dummy (pacifier), and a few even suggested it looked like a magnifying glass.

Haribo Steps In With The Truth

As the debate raged, Haribo themselves finally stepped in to end the chaos once and for all.

According to the company, the sweet is officially meant to be a pacifier — not a key.

Cue shock, denial, and plenty of fans refusing to accept the verdict.

One wrote: “It was a key to me, but I know they’re apparently dummies. But they’re clearly not dummies.”

Another said: “It’s a dummy, but I call it the key.”

Meanwhile, some pointed out the packaging literally lists them as “dummies,” meaning the truth was there all along.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Haribo has sent fans into an identity crisis.

Not long ago, people were floored when it came out that the green gummy bear isn’t lime or apple flavored at all — it’s actually strawberry.

One Twitter user joked: “Calling the police over whether the green Haribo gummy bears are strawberry or apple.”

Another admitted: “I was positive they were apple flavored. Man, now I don’t know what to think.”

Turns out, the flavor info has always been printed on the packet — but who actually reads that when there’s sweets to demolish?

Sweet Surprises

Whether it’s keys that are actually dummies or gummy bears pretending to be strawberries, Haribo clearly enjoys keeping fans on their toes.

One thing’s for sure though — even if we can’t agree on what they’re meant to be, we’ll still happily eat the lot.
