Millie Bobby Brown Has Officially Changed Her Name

Millie Bobby Brown surprised fans after revealing her official name change during a new interview with Noah Schnapp.

The pair reunited to chat about the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which ends on New Year’s Eve.

The finale arrives almost ten years after the show first launched and turned both actors into worldwide stars.

During that decade, Brown built a massive career outside Hawkins and became one of Hollywood’s most recognisable young performers.

She starred in both Enola Holmes films and appeared in the Godzilla franchise, proving her range and bankability.

Now 21, she returns as Eleven for the last time as season five releases in three batches across the holidays.

Away from acting, Brown married Jake Bongiovi in spring 2024 after the couple announced their engagement earlier that year.

Jake is the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, making their relationship instantly high-profile.

The pair later welcomed their first child, fulfilling Brown’s wish to become a young mum like her mother and grandmother.

The actress revealed that she has changed her name following her marriage (Netflix)

But last month, during an interview with VT, Brown revealed something fans didn’t expect at all.

She had officially changed her name after her wedding.

Millie Reveals Her New Legal Name

During a game with Schnapp, he attempted to guess her full birth name.

His first guess was “Millie Bonnie Brown,” which was close but still wrong.

Brown moved to correct him, but Schnapp quickly tried again with “Millie Bonnie Brown Bongiovi.”

That guess was also incorrect.

His third attempt was a wild mouthful: “Millie Bonnie Bobby Bongiovi Brown.”

Brown cut him off and reminded him there was “no Bobby,” telling him to start over again.

Schnapp slowed down and tried “Millie Bonnie Brown,” before Brown finally jumped in.

“Drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi. Millie Bon Bon!” she said.

Her reveal confirmed she officially took her husband’s last name and dropped her own surname.

This came months after she told Chris Pratt she had “never told anyone” her full maiden name.

When asked why she created the middle name “Bobby” for her stage identity, she joked it was for “s**ts and giggles.”

Marriage, Motherhood and the Next Chapter

Brown and Bongiovi were first linked in 2021 before announcing their engagement in 2023.

They later married in a private ceremony before hosting a larger celebration in Tuscany that summer.

In August, Brown shared that they had welcomed a “sweet baby girl” through adoption.

She wrote: “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

The news thrilled fans, who have watched Brown grow from a child star into a wife and mother.

Now, with a new name and a new family, Brown steps into the next phase of her life.

But before that, she returns to Hawkins one final time as Eleven, closing out the story that launched her career.
