The season kicked off with Kourtney expressing her continued frustration over Kim’s collaboration with the Italian fashion house Dolce and Gabbana, which occurred just months after her wedding to Travis Barker in Portofino.
Kourtney confronted Kim over the matter in a heated phone call, accusing her of coveting something that was originally hers. She stated, “You saw this thing that was mine and that wasn’t yours, and you wanted it.”
Kim tried to clarify that her intention was to showcase different styles on the runway compared to those featured at Kourtney’s May 2022 wedding. The argument escalated with Kourtney asserting that Kim couldn’t stand anyone else being the center of attention and that her behavior at the wedding demonstrated her inability to be happy for her. She expressed her frustration, saying, “You came to my wedding, you couldn’t be happy, you complained from the second you got there ’til the second you left. That’s what it’s about. Forget about you couldn’t be happy—you couldn’t be happy for me.”
Kim, in turn, questioned why Kourtney held such negative feelings toward her, urging her to introspect and discover the source of her animosity. Kim asserted that she was genuinely happy for Kourtney during her wedding.
