Dick Van Dyke was spotted having a magical day out at Disneyland with his much younger wife, Arlene Silver.
The 97 year old was spotted at the Anaheim park on Sunday, being escorted in a wheelchair by a cast member while his 52-year-old walked beside him.
The “Mary Poppins” star was then spotted waving at fans from a balcony in the New Orleans Square. See below:
The pair, who wed in 2012, made this rare public appearance only months after the star crashed his car, in Malibu.
The 97-year-old was lucky to leave the scene with minor injuries and at the time, joked to paparazzi that he was “doing OK” for his age because many of his “friends are dead”.
He previously commented that he stays in good shape; “I’ve always been an exerciser and still am. I go to the gym three days a week, get in the pool and exercise. At my age, they say to keep moving. Put me on solid ground and I’ll start tapping,”
He also commented that his much younger wife keeps him youthful;
“I sometimes forget that we’re doing a great experiment here — 46 years difference,” he said. “And we work at it to some extent. There’s got to be some understanding, find out what old habits don’t work anymore. It takes some adjusting and fitting in, but that’s part of the fun of it.”
