In her soon-to-be-released memoir, “The Woman in Me,” Britney Spears makes a startling revelation about her past relationship with fellow pop sensation Justin Timberlake.
Spears claims that she became pregnant with Timberlake’s child in late 2000 when she was 19 years old. Both Spears and Timberlake were born in 1981, making him roughly the same age at the time. The couple was romantically involved from 1999 to 2002, and reports from that period suggest that Spears had intentions of marrying Timberlake.
According to multiple sources familiar with the book’s content, the “bombshell” is that “Justin Timberlake got her pregnant and after some heart-wrenching discussions they agreed she would get an abortion.” Spears reportedly felt that Timberlake was the “love of her life” during their time together, and she discovered her pregnancy around late 2000.
The memoir is set to be released on October 24 and has already garnered significant attention. When the book deal was announced in February 2022, it was reported that Spears received a $15 million advance, making it one of the largest book deals ever. At the time of the alleged pregnancy and subsequent abortion, Spears was a global music sensation, having released hit albums “…Baby One More Time” in 1999 and “Oops!… I Did It Again” in 2000.
Spears later had two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, while Timberlake married actress Jessica Biel in 2012 and has two children with her. As of now, Timberlake has not commented on Spears’ claims.
The book’s release follows a challenging period for Spears, who was under her father’s controversial conservatorship until it was officially terminated by a judge in 2021, allowing her the freedom to write this memoir.
