Hollywood star Tom Cruise has split from girlfriend Ana de Armas after less than nine months of dating.
Cruise, 63, first went public with the Cuban actress, 37, earlier this year. They confirmed their romance in spring after being linked in February.
But insiders now say the couple decided they’re better off as friends.
A source told The Sun: “Tom and Ana had a great time but their relationship ran its course.”
The insider added: “They still enjoy each other’s company but the spark has gone.”
Both are said to be handling the breakup maturely and remain on good terms.
Despite splitting, Ana is still cast in Cruise’s upcoming supernatural thriller, Deeper.
Their Glamorous Romance
The pair were spotted together on numerous outings earlier this year.
In April, Cruise whisked Ana to Madrid on his private jet. For her 37th birthday, they flew to London by helicopter and enjoyed a night out.
Ana joined Cruise at David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.
They were also seen at an Oasis concert in London’s Wembley Stadium during the summer.
Later, they jetted off to Spain for a yacht holiday together. Their romance appeared strong, but things fizzled out behind the scenes.
Future Projects Still Planned
Both actors had been rehearsing for Deeper in London earlier this year.
The film, however, is reportedly on hold for now.
Another planned collaboration, a project with the working title Pressure, is also in development.
Their professional ties remain intact despite their personal split.
Their Past Relationships
Ana de Armas is no stranger to the spotlight.
She starred in No Time to Die, Knives Out, and Blonde as Marilyn Monroe.
She was married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet from 2011 to 2013.
Later, she dated Ben Affleck for ten months after meeting on the film Deep Water.
Tom Cruise has also had high-profile marriages. He was wed to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes.
Cruise shares a daughter, Suri, with Holmes.
Although their romance didn’t last, Cruise and de Armas are keeping things professional.
Friends say they’re determined not to let personal matters interfere with future projects.
Both continue to focus on work, and fans may still see them together on screen.
