Rihanna has welcomed a baby girl, but fans are furious over her chosen name.
The pop icon, 37, and her partner A$AP Rocky just announced the arrival of their third child.
Social media exploded the moment she revealed the news.
Some were thrilled. “FINALLY A BABY GIRLLLLLL,” one fan cheered. Another wrote: “She finally got her baby girl!”
Others, however, were less impressed with the newborn’s unique moniker.
Backlash Over The Name
On Reddit, criticism was brutal.
“This woman wouldn’t know a good baby name if it fell on her face,” one person posted, earning hundreds of likes.
Another said: “They’re so bad it’s mind-blowing.”
Some weren’t afraid to be blunt. “I’m sorry, I hate all her baby names,” wrote one.
Another added: “I also hate them, but I’m not sorry. They’re just bad.”
A few fans questioned celebrity privilege. “Terrible names that only celebrities can use. Regular kids would get bullied,” one comment read.

Rihanna And Rocky’s Growing Family
Rihanna and Rocky began their family in 2022 with their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers.
In 2023, they welcomed Riot Rose Mayers, sparking another wave of debate.
Both names split opinion, with some praising the creativity and others slamming them as “stage names” unsuited for kids.
The pair’s third pregnancy was revealed in style at the Met Gala in May 2025.
Arriving late on the carpet, Rihanna showed off her bump in a tailored suit.
Her maternity fashion kept making headlines, from daring cut-out gowns at Cannes to sheer looks in Paris.
But the joyful news came during heartbreak.
Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, died in May aged 70 after a battle with cancer and pneumonia.
The Big Reveal
Fans had been speculating about the baby name for weeks.
Finally, on September 13, Rihanna posted on Instagram. One photo showed her holding her newborn daughter in pink.
Another showed tiny ballet slippers resting on a blanket.

The caption confirmed the child’s full name: Rocki Irish Mayers.
The first name is a clear nod to her father’s stage name.
It also continues the family’s “R” tradition. Her middle name, Irish, appears to honour heritage.
Fans Still Divided
Not everyone is sold.
“Rocki Irish is cruel,” one critic said.
Another fan wrote: “Why would you do that to a kid?”
But others defended the choice. “Cute! Matches the boys perfectly,” someone replied.
Love it or hate it, Rihanna’s baby names are guaranteed to keep sparking debate.
