The news of Spears and Asghari’s divorce broke recently, just a year after their marriage, amidst allegations of infidelity. Asghari reportedly claimed that Spears had engaged in romantic involvement with at least one male staff member in her home. He apparently discovered compromising footage of the singer with the staff member, leading to the revelation of the alleged affair. The situation was further complicated by Asghari’s assertion that Spears had requested another employee to film her while naked.
TMZ reported that Spears is currently in a “fragile and hyper-sexualized state,” which has contributed to what they referred to as “dangerous decision-making,” raising concerns about her safety.
Asghari also made claims that Spears had violently attacked him while he was sleeping, resulting in a black eye. In response to the divorce, Asghari shared a statement on his Instagram Story, expressing, “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.” He filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The couple had tied the knot in June 2022 at Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The pop star has previously experienced tumultuous relationships. She had a brief marriage with Jason Alexander in 2004 lasting only 55 hours. Later that year, she married Kevin Federline, with whom she had two sons before their divorce in 2007.
