Netflix Viewers Praise ‘Most Underrated Gem’ Series which is Leaving People in Tears

The 2023 festive season is in full swing, and Netflix, as always, is delivering a plethora of binge-worthy content to satisfy telly enthusiasts. Among the notable releases, including the final installment of The Crown and the much-anticipated Chicken Run sequel, one series has quietly emerged as a hidden gem, leaving viewers both surprised and deeply moved.

Adapted from Anthony Doerr’s award-winning best-selling novel, “All The Light We Cannot See” made its Netflix debut on November 2nd. The psychological, historical-fiction series is set against the backdrop of World War II, bringing to life the intricate narratives of two central characters.

Marie-Laure LeBlanc, portrayed by Aria Mia Loberti, is a blind French girl seeking refuge with her reclusive Uncle Etienne, played by Hugh Laurie, in the coastal town of Saint-Malo after her father, portrayed by Mark Ruffolo, is arrested during the Nazi invasion of Paris. On the other side, we follow Warner Pfennig, played by Louis Hofmann, a German orphan who joins the Hitler Youth and rises through military school ranks due to his radio technology skills.

The series, despite not being inherently festive, has resonated deeply with viewers, prompting an outpouring of praise on social media. In response to a thread inquiring about the most underrated gems on Netflix, numerous users expressed their admiration for “All The Light We Cannot See.”

So, if what happens to us changes us… Let it only be for the better. <3”
