Kat Von D has Converted to Christianity after Covering Her Tattoos Up

Kat Von D, the former star of reality TV shows LA Ink and Miami Ink, has undergone a profound transformation in recent times, including her conversion to Christianity and the decision to cover up her tattoos. This journey represents a significant shift for the 41-year-old artist, who previously embraced the occult and witchcraft.

In 2020, Kat Von D made headlines by selling her beauty brand to Kendo. Simultaneously, she embarked on the process of covering up her extensive tattoo collection, which she felt no longer held significance in her life and had served as reminders of challenging times. She described the experience of replacing her tattoos with plain black ink as “extremely refreshing,” attributing sleekness and simplicity to her new appearance.

Furthermore, in July 2022, Kat Von D revealed another aspect of her transformation when she discarded books related to witchcraft, magic, and the macabre. She explained that these once-beloved volumes no longer aligned with her beliefs and values.

The most recent development in Kat Von D’s journey of self-discovery is her embrace of Christianity. She shared this significant life change on Instagram, posting a video on October 3rd that documented her conversion to the faith. In the video, viewers catch glimpses of her friends and family in the church, as well as moments where she prepares to be baptized by a Christian priest. Wearing a white robe, Kat Von D is immersed in water during the baptism ceremony.

During the ritual, the priest intones, “Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptise you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” After emerging from the water, Kat Von D shares a heartfelt hug with the priest, signifying her newfound commitment to her Christian faith.

This intimate life update has sparked a range of reactions among Kat Von D’s nine million Instagram followers. Many have taken to the comments section to express their thoughts on her transformation.

One user pointed out that Kat Von D’s choice to embrace Christianity does not negate her identity as a goth, metalhead, punk enthusiast, or follower of alternative lifestyles, stating, “You don’t have to be Satanic to be a Goth/Metal/Punk/etc.”

Another commenter applauded Kat Von D’s courage in making this life-altering decision, recognizing the potential impact it might have on her public image and follower base. They conveyed their support, writing, “God bless you and your family Kat! I’ve watched you since I was a little kid, and you’re honestly the last person I ever thought would be doing something like this, but I hope that just lets everyone know that God can call on ANYONE from ANY background or lifestyle. God doesn’t call the qualified; he qualifies the called! You go girl!”

One more supporter extended a hand of friendship, saying, “Congratulations Kat! I’m here for you if you ever want to talk, confidentially.”

Overall, Kat Von D’s journey towards Christianity is a personal and significant one, and it’s clear that she has the support of many as she continues to explore her faith and identity.
