Heidi Klum’s Christmas Lingerie Shoot with Her Daughter, 19, Slammed as ‘Weird’ and ‘Creepy’

Heidi Klum, the 50-year-old supermodel, is making headlines once again for her collaboration with the Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi in a Christmas campaign featuring her 19-year-old daughter, Leni. The mother-daughter duo posed in red and black lace lingerie, stirring a wave of reactions from fans.

Despite the festive theme and the beauty of the lingerie showcased, the concept of a mother and daughter promoting such risqué content together received criticism. After Heidi posted a carousel of content, including three photos and a video clip, Leni’s Instagram comments section was flooded with backlash.

Some users found the shoot uncomfortable, with comments like, “Doing a photoshoot with your mother in lingerie is still weird.” Another user went further, stating, “Find this a little weird. Mother is 50… seriously jumping around together in lingerie is sick. Your mom needs to get over it and wake up… she’s old.”

Critics labeled the shoot as “cringe” and expressed that it felt “wrong in so many ways.” However, there were contrasting opinions, with some praising the photoshoot. One person wrote, “If someone asks me on New Year’s Eve what the best thing in 2023 was, I will show this post,” and another hailed it as “The best Christmas present.”

This is not the first time Heidi Klum faced controversy for a similar shoot. Earlier in the year, she shared a campaign with the same brand featuring matching lace lingerie sets for the mother-daughter pair. The photos, showcasing them holding hands, were met with criticism, leading Heidi to disable comments on her post.

Addressing the backlash in an interview with the Daily Mail, Klum emphasized the joy of shooting together and highlighted Leni’s comfort, even in underwear shoots. Leni, during an interview with Page Six, revealed that she wasn’t bothered by online trolling, stating, “I honestly didn’t look at a lot of the reactions.” She expressed her overall happiness with the campaign and emphasized the positive experience she had with her mother.

Leni also shared her strategy for dealing with online comments, stating, “I just don’t look at it, honestly. If I don’t look at it, I don’t have to pay any attention to it, so I just don’t know what is there.”

Despite the controversy, both mother and daughter expressed their satisfaction with the campaign, focusing on the positive aspects of their collaboration and the creative process. The debate surrounding the appropriateness of such shoots continues, with contrasting opinions on whether it’s a celebration of confidence and family bonds or an uncomfortable crossing of boundaries.
