Talulah Riley, former spouse of the renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk, delightedly revealed her engagement to the talented actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster. This marks Riley’s third engagement, having been married to Musk twice in the past.
Their marital journey began in 2010, but they divorced in 2012, only to reconcile and marry again in the subsequent year.
However, their union eventually came to an end in 2016.
Reflecting on their decision to remarry, Riley explained in an interview with The Independent, “I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married. You know, it’s like a habit. We were saying ‘this is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh, wait, no, we’re not that anymore. We better be that again.’ So, it felt silly to go back to ‘this is my boyfriend’ when we’ve been married. So, we just got married again.”
On the evening of July 27th, the couple took to social media to share their joyous news with the world. Talulah, aged 37, posted a heartwarming picture of herself and Thomas, announcing, “Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and I are engaged.”
Their paths initially crossed during the filming of the miniseries Pistol, where they portrayed the iconic fashion designers Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, respectively.
Despite moving on and finding love with Thomas, Riley has spoken fondly of her time with Elon Musk, referring to him as the “perfect ex-husband.”
During their marriage, she embraced the role of caring for Musk’s five children from his previous marriage with Justine Musk.
She recollected, “I mean, there were the rockets and the cars, and there were things blowing up… there was a lot going on – a lot that was very stimulating. We [her and Musk’s kids] were very involved in what was going on. It was a group effort. A family-wide effort.”
Adding further praise for Musk, she stated, “Elon was great. He had me alongside for all of that. So it wasn’t like I was stuck in a mansion in Bel Air like a trophy wife, which would not have been fun. I did, of course, witness that for others. But luckily, that was not my fate. We are in a happy place now, where we’re good to each other, which is really nice. I have the utmost love for him.”
Recently, the pair were seen together in Paris, sparking interest among fans and media alike.
Meanwhile, Musk had a busy day of his own, attending various engagements including meetings with the French president and Bernard Arnault, one of the world’s wealthiest individuals. He also made an appearance at a tech conference, where he expressed his concerns about the potential dangers of AI.
