Metallica, the legendary heavy metal band, has a reputation for drawing massive crowds to their electrifying concerts, and their recent two-night performance at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, was no exception. With famous faces like Jason Momoa and John Travolta among the audience, it was a star-studded event. However, there was one attendee who stood out from the rest – a dog named Storm.
Storm, the four-legged Metallica aficionado, made a surprise appearance at one of the iconic band’s concerts. Initially, there were reports suggesting that she had been abandoned by the Animal Health & Wellness Organization, as detailed in a Facebook post. However, it later came to light that this adventurous husky had embarked on her own escapade to attend the nearby event.
Metallica took to social media to clarify the situation, addressing the canine concertgoer in a Facebook post of their own: “You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @sofistadium and made her way to the gig all by herself. After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day.”
Adding a touch of humor, the band shared that Storm enjoyed some of her favorite jams during the concert, playfully stating: “She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna,’ ‘Master of Puppies,’ and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes.’”
Despite the amusing turn of events, Metallica issued an important cautionary note for future concertgoers, emphasizing, “And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day.”
Storm’s owner, Arizbeth Hurtado, who resides just a stone’s throw away from SoFi Stadium, shared the joyful reunion with PetHelpful, saying, “She is home and safe! We learned something new about her… she is apparently a huge Metallica fan who decided to sneak out for the concert!”
In response to a photograph posted by the Animal Health & Wellness Organization, Hurtado exclaimed, “We were laughing so hard when we saw she was SITTING IN AN ACTUAL SEAT AT THE CONCERT.”
The Animal Health & Wellness Organization confirmed that Storm is safe and well, providing an update that read, “After this dog was seen sitting in a seat @sofi during the Metallica Concert, the pup was taken to a nearby shelter by Animal Services. The next day, someone who lives in the area claimed the pup, stating he escaped from their yard. Based on the owner’s Facebook page, the dog looks cared for and loved. Thank you to everyone who helped to share the post. Happy that the dog found its way home.”
While Metallica fans are reminded that dogs should stay at home rather than join the #M72 World Tour, humans can secure tickets for upcoming shows to experience the band’s electrifying performances.
