In the world of Hollywood, feuds and drama are a dime a dozen.
One feud that caught people’s attention was when Charlize Theron called out Steven Seagal for his “whole setup” fighting scenes during an Aikido martial arts tournament.
Theron, who is known for her action-packed roles, revealed her thoughts on Seagal during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show in 2020 to promote her movie The Old Guard.
According to Theron, Seagal’s fighting scenes were unimpressive, and she wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion.
She even went as far as to call him a “fraud” and criticized his weight.
“He’s just incredibly overweight and pushing people. He’s overweight, and he barely fights. Look it up. It’s ridiculous. He’s just shoving people in the face. It’s like a whole setup,” Theron said.
Theron’s criticism of Seagal didn’t end there. She also mentioned that she had no problem speaking out against him because he “is not very nice to women.”
Seagal has faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment and assault, which he has denied.
Despite Seagal’s denial, Theron did not hold back. “I have no problem talking st about him because he’s not very nice to women, so f**k you,” Theron said.
Seagal’s attorney, Anthony Falangetti, denied the allegations made against Seagal. “The allegations that have been made against Mr. Seagal are false and have no substantive material support,” Falangetti said in a statement to USA Today. “The accounts of both women are completely fictitious and totally made up. The allegations are a disservice to women who are victimized because of real predators in the film industry.”
Theron’s comments about Seagal sparked a conversation about the role of women in the film industry and the importance of speaking out against harassment and abuse.
Theron’s boldness in calling out Seagal for his behavior is a reminder that women have a voice and should use it to make a difference.
