Britney Spears, the pop sensation, appeared to have sustained several cuts on her body after sharing a video of herself dancing with knives on Instagram.
In the latest clip, posted on Tuesday, the singer was seen with a white bandage wrapped around her arm and an apparent cut on her thigh. She danced energetically in a polka-dot crop top paired with white bikini bottoms.
She captioned the dancing post, “My ‘Pretty Woman’ top … kinda cool after my briefing on polka dots 😉😉🙄🙄🙈🙈🤓🤓 !!! Swipe to see both !!!”
The concerning injuries became visible one day after the 41-year-old singer raised concerns among fans by sharing a video of herself dancing with two sharp butcher knives in her hands. In the video, she was seen twirling and dancing in her home while holding the sharp objects, wearing the same outfit as in the later clip.
Initially, the caption of the alarming knife dance read, “I started playing in the kitchen with knives today 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ !!!” However, Spears later updated the caption to add, “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon 🙈🙈🙈 !!!”
Disturbingly, this is not the first time that Spears has been associated with sharp tools. In May, it was reported in the documentary “Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom” that the “Gimme More” singer has had a long-standing “fascination with knives” and has even admitted to sleeping with them under her bed.
The documentary’s founder, Harvey Levin, claimed in the film that Spears lives “in mortal fear” that someone will break into her home in the middle of the night and “strap her to a gurney and take her to a psych ward.”
TMZ’s executive producer, Charles Latibeaudiere, also alleged in the TV special that knives were kept away from Spears at the end of her 13-year conservatorship.
Furthermore, the publication issued a warning to Britney’s now-estranged husband, Sam Asghari, suggesting that he should “be afraid to sleep without one eye open if she gets pissed” because she is allegedly “super capable” of causing harm.
Adding to the troubling narrative, Britney’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, claimed in her 2022 memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” that Britney once locked them in a room together while brandishing a knife. However, Britney firmly denied such allegations in a now-deleted tweet in January 2022.
“I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such !!!” wrote Britney, adding, “The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut.”
As fans continue to express concern for Britney’s well-being, the singer’s cryptic social media posts and history of associations with knives have once again ignited discussions about her ongoing battle for autonomy and mental health.
