During a press conference in New York City for his movie “Maestro,” actor Bradley Cooper had to make a swift exit after receiving an urgent call from his daughter Lea’s school nurse.
Cooper, caught off guard, excused himself saying, “So sorry. The school nurse just called me,” as reported by the Daily Mail. He asked for a moment to return the call, explaining, “Can I just leave the room for a second to call them back and you can keep going? Is that all right?”
Upon returning to the stage, Cooper revealed he needed to go to his six-year-old daughter’s school to administer something that the school officials couldn’t. “I have to apply something that they won’t allow,” he said. “I have to do it, so it’s, like, a 10-minute walk.”
Cooper, who shares joint custody of Lea with his ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk, has been actively involved in his daughter’s life.
The father-daughter duo recently appeared together on the red carpet for his new Netflix film, where Lea showcased her Dolce & Gabbana leopard-print dress and gold pumps. Shayk expressed her pride on Instagram, writing, “So proud Daddy and Lea.”
