Alec Baldwin Defends ‘Suggestive’ Photo Caption of Hilaria and Son Leo

Alec Baldwin had to recently change the caption of one of his photographs, after it was deemed ”sexually suggestive” by fans.

The photograph showed his wife, Hilaria getting a back rub from their 6 year-old son, Leo, and people in the comments thought that it was captioned pretty inappropriate.

As caption to the Instgram post, he wrote “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy,” which prompted followers to call out his word choice.

It’s safe to say that, whilst harmless, many people were unimpressed with his choice of phrasing.

“That’s a pretty f–king weird comment to make on a photo of your son and his mother,” wrote one user.

“This caption is disgusting,” commented another.

“SexuaIizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes,” added a third fan.

‘’Back rub ploy? What does that even mean in the context of a mother and her child?” another asked.

One more slammed the post, saying “Does anyone else think this is creepy af with the caption? Pic is sweet. Caption makes it weird.”

However, after seeing the comments, Baldwin actually changed the caption and added “Potato chips to follow.”

He also added in the comments section his reasoning why, “I adjusted the text. I guess because…you know…there is so much of that Reddit trash out there.”

Despite the backlash, others have jumped to his defence.

”The fact that anyone would find fault with this photo or caption is ridiculous. This photo speaks of healthy love and connection,” one user stated.

Another defended the pic, writing ”I think people are misunderstanding his caption. He means his son is probably trying to get something out of it like being a treat or snack.”

This comes after Baldwin was charged for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, on the set of Rust.

In as soon as five weeks time, there will be a high-profile preliminary hearing, which means that the Albuquerque attorneys will take over the case as special prosecutors.
