A viral astrology claim has linked several notorious serial killers to the same four star signs.
The claim began spreading after TikToker Lauren Skirvin discussed a list of infamous murderers. She said many of the names fell under Virgo, Gemini, Pisces and Sagittarius.
The discussion brought together astrology and true crime, two topics often debated online. Skirvin described herself as an armchair astrologist while explaining the pattern. She said the list included killers such as Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and Ed Gein.
The claim quickly drew attention because only four signs appeared on the list. According to Skirvin, those signs also represented the four astrological elements. Sagittarius represented fire, Gemini represented air, Pisces represented water and Virgo represented earth.
“For those of you who don’t believe in astrology, how can you explain that there’s only four signs included in this long list? That’s wild.”
Skirvin said the next surprising detail was the spread across the elements. She said each of the four signs came from a different astrological group. That detail made the pattern stand out to people following the discussion.
“The next craziest part is that there is one sign from each element,” she said.
Virgo appeared most often on the list
Virgo reportedly appeared more often than any other sign on the list. Skirvin said 10 killers were born between August 23 and September 22. In astrology, those dates fall under the sign of Virgo.
She joked about the sign’s reputation for perfectionism when discussing the pattern. “You know that their crime scenes are immaculate though,” she said. “You know they’re bleaching those crime scenes within an inch of their lives.”
Gemini was also listed among the most common signs in the viral discussion. Jeffrey Dahmer was one of the killers named under Gemini. David Berkowitz, known as the Son of Sam, was also included in that group.
Dahmer became one of America’s most infamous serial killers after murdering 17 men and boys. Berkowitz killed six people and wounded several others in New York during the 1970s. Their inclusion helped fuel interest in the astrology claim.
Pisces also appeared several times in the list. John Wayne Gacy and Richard Ramirez were named as two examples. Gacy was convicted of murdering 33 young men and boys.
Ramirez, known as the Night Stalker, terrorised California during the 1980s. His crimes included murders, assaults and home invasions. Both names are often included in discussions of America’s most notorious killers.
Sagittarius was also included
Sagittarius appeared less often than Virgo, Gemini and Pisces. Skirvin said the sign appeared four times on the list. Ted Bundy was among the killers linked to Sagittarius.
Bundy confessed to killing 30 women and girls across several US states. He was executed in Florida in 1989. His crimes remain among the most widely discussed serial murder cases in modern history.
Skirvin said Sagittarius was the sign she found most surprising. She described the sign as chaotic and impulsive in her interpretation. She also linked that idea to broader discussion of mental health issues.
“Sagittarius is most surprising, but they’re only listed four times here,” she said.
“Sagittarius is chaotic and impulsive – I don’t know, you mix that with mental health issues, and I could see it happening.”
The comments drew strong reactions from TikTok users. Some people treated the claim as light-hearted astrology content. Others questioned whether the pattern meant anything beyond coincidence.
One viewer wrote: “As a Virgo this does not surprise me.”
Another said: “Not me being a Gemini living with Virgo and Pisces children.”
Viewers questioned missing star signs
Some viewers noticed that other signs did not appear on the viral list. Aries, Libra and Scorpio were among the signs mentioned in responses. People joked about why those signs seemed absent from the discussion.
One woman joked: “Not a single Aries either. Another day another slay, ladies.”
Another commenter made a joke about Libra’s reputation for indecision. “Libras couldn’t decide who to kill,” they said. The comment became part of the wider online reaction to the claim.
The absence of Scorpio also drew attention from viewers. Scorpio is often associated with intensity in popular astrology discussions. However, Skirvin said it did not appear on the main list.
She then mentioned the Zodiac Killer, whose identity has never been officially confirmed. Some researchers have previously claimed Gary Francis Poste was the killer. Skirvin said Poste would be a Scorpio if that theory were true.
“A name that is missing from this list is the Zodiac killer, who a team of codebreakers has decided was Gary Francis Poste, who’s a Scorpio,” she said.
“So we don’t know if that’s true or not, but if it’s true – if he is a Scorpio – he would be the one Scorpio out of the list.”
The claim continued spreading because of the unusual mix of astrology and true crime. It also prompted wider debate about online pattern-finding. Many viewers remained divided over whether the list was meaningful or coincidental.
