Ex-NFL star Troy Aikman says he is ‘in trouble’ after making a Taylor Swift joke on-air.
The “Monday Night Football” analyst was discussing a second-quarter play by the Chiefs star Travis Kelce against the Saints. ESPN showed Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift celebrating the win.
Aikman shared “The Mrs. likes it” to which his partner, Joe Buck said “You know they’re not married?”. Troy responded “Oh I know,”, “I’m sure I’m in trouble for saying that.”

Rumors about the relationship status of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been swirling since they went public last year, with speculation ranging from an engagement to a secret marriage. However, no solid proof has emerged to suggest they’ve moved past the boyfriend-girlfriend stage.
During the first half of the game against the New Orleans Saints, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs led 16-7, with Kelce delivering his best performance of the season, recording eight receptions for 67 yards. Meanwhile, ESPN’s alternate “Manningcast” broadcast provided some lighthearted moments, with Peyton and Eli Manning chuckling as Swift appeared on screen next to legendary coach Bill Belichick.

Swift’s presence in Kansas City—after missing Kelce’s last two away games—may have sparked his standout performance. Kelce also had plenty of support, as his brother Jason Kelce was part of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast team.
Before Monday’s game, Kelce had accumulated just 158 yards on 15 catches despite the Chiefs’ four-game winning streak to start the season. Speaking on the Sept. 25 episode of his “New Heights” podcast with Jason, Kelce said, “I’ve had a lot of catches in this league, man, I’m not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that. I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn’t?”
He added, “It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win these football games—that’s always going to be the goal.”
