Trans Woman Known For Bikini Waxing Lawsuits Now Facing Arrest Warrant

Police in Alberta, Canada, have issued a warrant for trans woman Jessica Yaniv, also known as Jessica Simpson.

The warrant is reportedly linked to a criminal harassment charge, according to Western Standard.

Calgary Police have not confirmed any case details, and official court records are not yet public.

The complainant told reporters they are trying to confirm if the warrant applies in British Columbia.

In Canada, warrants can cross provinces if listed in a national database or approved through agreements.

Yaniv has not commented publicly on the reported warrant or the nature of the allegations.

Yaniv first gained attention in 2018 after filing complaints against beauty salons that refused to perform bikini waxes.

She argued the salons discriminated against her because she is a trans woman with male genitalia.

The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal later dismissed the complaints and criticized the filings.

The cases sparked widespread debate over transgender rights and business owners’ obligations regarding intimate services.

Questions emerge over past controversies

Yaniv has been involved in multiple controversial moments beyond the waxing cases.

In 2019, she was accused of sending inappropriate messages to a minor named Jessica Rumpel.

Rumpel told the Daily Mail she received messages when she was 14 years old.

She shared screenshots online that appeared to come from Yaniv’s verified social media account.

Yaniv denied any wrongdoing and said someone may have impersonated her.

Rumpel later said she believed Yaniv had taken advantage of her kindness at a young age.

Also in 2019, Yaniv was charged with illegal possession of a taser after showing it on a livestream.

She received a conditional discharge and avoided jail but was banned from owning weapons.

That same year, Yaniv complained online that gynecologists refused to treat her because she is transgender.

She tweeted, “Are they allowed to do that, legally? Isn’t that against the college practices?”

The College of Physicians and Surgeons did not comment on her specific situation.

Ongoing debate about rights, online behavior, and law

Yaniv’s social media bios describe her as a human rights activist and digital rights advocate.

She continues to post about transgender rights, legal reform and equal access to medical services. Her presence online remains controversial, and reactions to the warrant news have been divided.

Some people believe her legal battles highlight real issues in transgender rights. Others accuse her of using activism to gain attention and stir controversy.

The nature of the alleged harassment charge has not been revealed by authorities.

Police have not confirmed whether the case is linked to online behavior or past complaints. The Calgary Crown Prosecution Office has not commented on the warrant or future proceedings.

At this stage, no connection has been made between this case and her earlier legal disputes.

Yaniv has not issued any recent public statement addressing the reported warrant.
