Spider-Man star Tom Holland has been rushed to hospital after a terrifying stunt went wrong while filming his latest Marvel blockbuster.
The 28-year-old actor, who has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars thanks to his role as Peter Parker, reportedly cracked his head after taking a fall on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The accident happened on Friday at Leavesden Studios in Watford, where the highly anticipated Marvel-Sony sequel is currently being filmed.

Holland Suffers Concussion
According to The Sun, Holland was taken to hospital where he was treated for a mild concussion. Filming was immediately suspended and could now be put on hold for weeks while the actor recovers.
A woman, believed to be one of the film’s stunt doubles, was also taken to hospital in an ambulance after the incident.
The East of England Ambulance Service later confirmed:
“We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”
Dad Confirms Tom Will Be “Away From Filming”
Holland’s dad, comedian Dominic Holland, spoke about the ordeal while attending a charity dinner in Mayfair on Sunday. He confirmed his son would be taking time off from filming, telling guests he would be “away for a while.”
Tom himself also made a brief appearance at the event with fiancée and Spider-Man co-star Zendaya. The couple posed for photos together but Holland reportedly left early after feeling unwell.
The accident could now spark a Health and Safety Executive investigation, given the scale of the production and the seriousness of the incident.
Marvel and Sony have yet to issue an official statement about Holland’s injury or when production might resume.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Release Date
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie and one of Marvel’s most eagerly awaited releases. The film is currently scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on July 31, 2026.
Fans are already flooding social media with messages of support, urging Holland to take his time recovering before getting back into the Spidey suit.
One fan wrote: “No film is worth your health, Tom. Please rest up!” while another added: “Sending love to Tom and Zendaya — we need our Spider-Man fit and healthy.”
