Tom Holland fans are calling for Marvel to give Peter Parker a male love interest in Spider-Man 4.
Since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, speculation has surrounded Peter’s future and love life.
The last film ended with Doctor Strange casting a spell that erased Peter from everyone’s memory.
That included his girlfriend MJ, played by Zendaya.
Although Peter crossed paths with MJ again, he decided not to reveal his true identity.
He believed keeping his distance was the only way to protect her.
Fans Push For Queer Storyline
Reports have hinted that Spider-Man 4 could explore a new romantic direction for Peter.
That rumor quickly sparked debates across social media about whether Marvel should explore a same-s** storyline.
One fan tweeted: “Give him a boyfriend.”
The post racked up over 200,000 likes in just days.

Another said: “The multiverse is open. Somewhere out there, Peter Parker has a boyfriend.”
Fans have shared excitement over the idea of Peter experiencing a “queer awakening.”
Many argue it would refresh the character while reflecting modern audiences.
Andrew Garfield First Floated The Idea
This isn’t the first time the suggestion has been raised.
Back in 2013, Andrew Garfield spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Peter’s sexuality.
He asked: “What if MJ is a dude? Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his s**uality? It’s hardly even groundbreaking!… So why can’t he be gay? Why can’t he be into boys?”
Some fans are now linking Garfield’s comments to the discussion.
One user wrote: “Andrew tried to get his Peter a boyfriend, and I’m sure it’s one of the reasons he didn’t get to finish his trilogy.”
Another repeated the earlier sentiment: “The multiverse is open. Somewhere out there, Peter Parker has a boyfriend.”
Others even suggested Marvel could flip Gwen Stacy into “Glen Stacy” to reinvent the classic storyline.
Marvel’s Queer Spider-Verse
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker hasn’t been confirmed as queer, but fans believe Marvel could explore the option.
Comics within the Spider-Verse have already included LGBTQ+ heroes.
That list features Web-Weaver, a gay Spider-Man variant introduced in 2022.
This has led some to speculate that Web-Weaver could appear as Peter’s love interest in the next movie.
Even with Zendaya reportedly reprising her role as MJ, people still expect Peter will meet someone new.
Industry insider Daniel Richtman added fuel to the fire by reposting a claim on X.
It read: “Spider-Man 4 will reportedly introduce a new love interest for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker.”

However, insider MyTimeToShineHello later reassured fans.
They responded: “Zendaya is still in it so relax.”
What’s Next For Peter Parker?
For now, nothing has been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
Still, the speculation shows how invested fans remain in Peter’s journey.
Whether or not Peter explores a queer romance, Spider-Man 4 will mark a fresh chapter.
And with the multiverse wide open, Marvel has plenty of options for his story.
