Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View, has removed her X (formerly Twitter) account following Donald Trump’s presidential victory. Speaking on the Behind the Table podcast, Hostin, 56, called the decision “patriotic” and criticized Elon Musk, the platform’s owner and an outspoken Trump supporter. She expressed disdain for Musk’s leadership, claiming the platform has become overrun with “misogyny and racism.” Hostin also announced she won’t support Musk-owned ventures, saying, “I’m not going to buy a Tesla or Tesla stock.”

Hostin faced heavy backlash online after suggesting on The View that “uneducated white women” and Latino men contributed significantly to Trump’s win. She later revised her statement to “non college-educated white women” but maintained that cultural resentment played a larger role than policy. Fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back on the terminology, adding tension to the discussion.

The backlash escalated with Hostin receiving death threats, which she noted her team monitored. Critics accused her of promoting identity politics, with some labeling her “bitter” and “biased.” Hostin has been a co-host on The View since 2015 and continues to be a polarizing figure in political discussions.

Despite removing herself from X, Hostin remains a vocal critic of Trump and Musk, doubling down on her decision to avoid platforms and products tied to individuals she believes perpetuate division.
