Selena Gomez Fans Have Sad Theory About Why She Posted Her Wedding Pictures So Quickly After Getting Married

Selena Gomez just tied the knot with Benny Blanco – but fans can’t stop talking about how quickly she shared her wedding snaps.

The 32-year-old singer married the music producer at a private estate in Santa Barbara this weekend. The bride wore a Ralph Lauren gown, while Benny chose a classic tux by the same designer.

Around 170 guests were on hand, including Taylor Swift, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. Justin Bieber wasn’t there – though he raised eyebrows online with a cryptic “I Do” post.

Fans were delighted to see Gomez glowing in her dress, but some clocked the speed of her Instagram posts. Many believe the photos were uploaded while she was still at the reception.

One fan wrote: “I hate that she had to post them so fast. But good on her for staying ahead of the paps. Stunning photos!”

Another added: “She probably did it to devalue any paparazzi shots. It’s smart.”

A third chimed in: “These pics feel normal, not showy. Just two people madly in love.”

Fans say it’s about beating the press

The theory is that Selena and Benny wanted to get their own images out before the tabloids could cash in. Some believe the couple had someone ready to post approved photos the second the ceremony ended.

One fan wrote: “Makes sense. Get the shots out first, devalue the paps, then move on.”

Star-studded celebrations

It wasn’t just family and close friends at the ceremony. Paul Rudd, Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park, and David Henrie also joined the party.

Reports say Mark Ronson manned the DJ booth, while Swift and Sheeran gave speeches. Gomez even hinted on Drew Barrymore’s show that Martin Short would make a toast and Steve Martin might pull out his banjo.

One fan said: “I just want the photos with Steve and Martin. You know they were there.” Another added: “She looks incredible. Obsessed.”

Blanco also posted a photo of the pair, writing: “I married a real-life Disney Princess!”

The couple began dating in 2023, got engaged in 2024, and now – finally – have their happily ever after.
