Ring, the popular home surveillance company, has announced an enticing opportunity for its camera customers in the United States. They can vie for a substantial cash prize of $1 million by capturing footage that they believe depicts an alien presence. This competition, known as the ‘Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials,’ invites Ring camera users to submit their recordings of what they consider to be “unaltered scientific evidence of a real extraterrestrial lifeform.”
With over ten million Ring camera users in the US, many individuals have already shared intriguing Ring footage that appears to capture otherworldly phenomena. Now, Ring is offering the chance to monetize such unusual sightings.
In a press release, Ring stated, “Customers all over the world capture life’s unexpected and delightful moments through their Ring Video Doorbells and Cameras. Now, you could be rewarded for catching an otherworldly sighting.”
The competition is open to people from around the world, and Ring encourages participants to submit their best extraterrestrial-related footage. This could range from videos showing an extraterrestrial entity walking or flying up a driveway and seeking directions to unidentifiable lifeforms displaying unusual and extraordinary behavior in a backyard.
While July is traditionally considered the peak month for UFO sightings, according to the National UFO Reporting Center’s database analysis, the deadline for submissions is November 3, 11:59 pm. To enter, participants must be at least 18 years old, and the submitted video clips should not exceed one minute in length.
The $1 million prize will not be awarded as a lump sum. Instead, the winner will receive $50,000 installments annually over a period of 20 years. An expert panel will evaluate the submitted footage to determine if it meets the competition’s requirements and select the winning submission.
For those looking for some fun during the Halloween season, Ring has also introduced an ‘Out of this World’ contest with the chance to win a $500 Amazon gift card. This competition seeks creative and comedic ‘alien’ videos, and the submissions will be judged based on creativity, humor, and engagement. Participants are encouraged to showcase their best extraterrestrial costumes, accessories, makeup, props, or other artificial means.
Ring emphasized that participants should have fun with their submissions and not be deceived by realistic costumes often seen during Halloween. The ‘Out of this World’ contest adds a playful and entertaining twist to the search for extraterrestrial encounters.
With the Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials and the ‘Out of this World’ contest, Ring aims to engage its community of camera users in an exciting and imaginative exploration of the unknown. Whether capturing evidence of real-life extraterrestrial activity or creating entertaining alien-themed content, participants have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and potentially earn rewarding prizes.
