Mia Khalifa recently shared a heartbreaking incident that left her in tears after a fan’s girlfriend made a vile joke about her past career in the adult film industry.
In 2014, Khalifa skyrocketed to fame in the adult film world, making a significant impact during her short tenure.
She quickly climbed the ranks on various adult film sites, ultimately becoming one of the most viewed stars worldwide. However, even after leaving that chapter of her life behind, it appears that some individuals refuse to let her move on.
During a candid conversation with YouTube star Anthony Padilla a couple of years ago, the 30-year-old opened up about an unfortunate event that deeply affected her.
She recounted, “I was at a business meeting in London, accompanied by the company I had recently signed with. The heads of the company, two gentlemen, and my manager were present. We were celebrating a successful press tour for the project we were working on when a guy and his girlfriend approached me.”
The man requested a photo, but Khalifa declined due to being in the middle of a professional lunch. Admittedly, she acknowledged that she could have handled the situation better. Criticizing the man’s approach, she referred to him as “rude” for interrupting her meal with others.
Shockingly, the man’s girlfriend then chimed in with a repulsive joke. “I told you it wasn’t her. There’s not enough c*m on her face. Let’s go, babe,” the girl callously remarked.
The impact of this vile comment deeply affected Khalifa, causing her to retreat to the bathroom, where she broke down in tears. She confessed, “I didn’t really know how to handle it, especially because it came from a woman, and especially because I was there for business.”
Fortunately, the businessmen she was with, who had no connection to the adult film industry, displayed empathy and support, ensuring that the incident did not affect their working relationship.
In a recent appearance on Steven Bartlett’s Diary Of A CEO podcast, Khalifa revealed that her involvement in the adult film industry was heavily influenced by an “abusive” relationship she had during her late teens.
At that time, her then-husband, who served in the US Army, introduced her to the world of adult entertainment and encouraged her involvement. Reflecting on the relationship, she now describes it as a form of “grooming,” where she was treated as a plaything.
Despite her relatively short stint in the industry, Khalifa faced the harsh consequence of being disowned by her own family. She now lives with the knowledge that “some mistakes aren’t forgivable.”
