Kim Kardashian’s Insta Posts Are Being Flooded With One Emoji After Taylor Swift Fued

In the wake of Taylor Swift’s recent comments about her past feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, fans are rallying for Kim to issue a public apology. Taylor, named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, revisited the notorious 2016 drama in a wide-ranging interview, shedding light on the toll it took on her mental well-being.

The saga originated when Kanye West, then known as Ye, released the song “Famous,” containing a controversial lyric about Taylor. The lyric ignited tensions as it alluded to an incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech, declaring Beyoncé should have won.

Kanye publicly apologized for his actions at the VMAs, attributing them to a critique of systemic racism in the music industry. Taylor accepted the apology, and the two reconciled at the 2015 VMAs. However, trouble resurfaced in 2016 with the release of “Famous,” where Kanye claimed Taylor had approved the lyrics during a phone call. Taylor’s camp vehemently denied such approval, asserting that Kanye never sought permission but rather asked her to promote the song on Twitter.

Kim Kardashian entered the fray, publicly accusing Taylor of dishonesty and asserting that Taylor was well aware of the lyrics. Taylor’s representative countered, confirming the phone call’s occurrence and emphasizing Taylor’s refusal to endorse the song on social media.

The controversy escalated when Kim released a series of Snapchat videos seemingly showing Taylor approving the lyrics. Taylor countered by accusing Kim and Kanye of secretly recording and manipulating the phone call, branding it a “character assassination.” Internet users responded by flooding Taylor’s social media with snake emojis, encouraged by Kim and her sisters, Khloé and Kendall.

Taylor, facing public backlash, retreated from the limelight. A year later, she reclaimed the “snake” narrative with the release of her album “Reputation,” where she addressed the drama. However, in 2020, the full phone call between Taylor and Kanye was leaked, revealing that Taylor had never approved the controversial lyric.

In her recent interview with Time, Taylor recounted the emotional toll the incident took on her, emphasizing that her career was unjustly jeopardized. She accused Kim and Kanye of publicly branding her a “liar” and criticized the illegal recording of their phone call.

Now, fans of Taylor Swift are urging Kim Kardashian to apologize, flooding Kim’s Instagram comments with snake emojis. The comments reflect a collective sentiment demanding accountability for the past actions that impacted Taylor’s career and personal life. As the Swifties make their voices heard, the focus remains on whether Kim will address the calls for reconciliation and acknowledge the impact of the infamous “Snakegate.”
