Katy Perry once disclosed which of her former partners was, in her words, better in bed than her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
The singer has often described her relationship with Bloom as deeply fulfilling, even admitting he earns a special “reward” just for doing things like putting away the dishes.
Though their relationship is strong now and they even share a child together, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
The two split briefly in 2017, 10 months after they first started dating.
During their time apart, Perry released her album Witness. Featuring hits like “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appétit,”.
Perry put significant effort into its promotion, including a 24-hour live-streamed YouTube event where she let fans watch her sleep and even attend a therapy session.
However, the most buzzworthy part of the stream came when she joined British comedian James Corden, then host of The Late Late Show, for a round of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.”
In the game, celebrities either have to answer tough questions or eat something repulsive instead. Corden didn’t hold back, asking Perry to rank her exes—John Mayer, Diplo, and Orlando Bloom—by their bedroom skills.
She tried to dodge the question at first, shouting “No!” in resistance, but with a thousand-year-old egg as the alternative, she caved.
Perry ranked Diplo third, Bloom second, and Mayer at the top of the list.
To lighten the moment, Corden remarked, “But we’re saying all three are exceptional,” to which Perry responded, “Gentlemen, I love you and you know that I love you, and it’s not about that; maybe I just haven’t had enough time to have sex with you.”
Orlando Bloom hasn’t publicly commented on the list, but John Mayer reacted to it later in Rolling Stone, saying, “I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you.” Perry and Mayer were in an on-and-off relationship from 2012 to 2015. Diplo, who Perry placed third, responded humorously on social media, posting, “I don’t even remember having sex.”
These revelations didn’t affect her future with Bloom, as they have maintained a joyful relationship since reuniting in 2018, following Perry’s earlier marriage to Russell Brand.
