Jennifer Lawrence has responded to long-running plastic surgery speculation, insisting her changing look is due to makeup and growing up, not cosmetic procedures.
In a new conversation with Kylie Jenner for Interview magazine, the Oscar winner joked that her makeup artist Hung Vanngo is basically a “plastic surgeon,” thanks to his contouring skills.
The 35-year-old said people are convinced she has had work done, especially after recent photos from a Dior fashion show sparked online debates about fillers and a nose job.
Lawrence pushed back, saying her face has changed naturally as she aged. She reminded fans she was still a teenager when she became famous.
“I started at 19,” she said. “So people compare photos from 19 to 35, and I’m like, ‘I grew up.’ I lost baby weight in my face. That’s just aging.”
Rumors about eye surgery also annoyed her. She laughed them off, saying it is simply a skilled makeup illusion, not a surgical one.

Aging, Makeup, and Misconceptions
Addressing nose job claims directly, Lawrence said, “My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up.” She added that makeup changes can make people believe something drastic has happened.
Kylie Jenner, who has faced even harsher rumors, fully agreed. She admitted she has gotten lip fillers but rejected the idea she rebuilt her entire face.
Jenner said online critics often post her childhood photos next to current ones as “proof,” ignoring the difference that comes from eyebrow styling, contouring, and growing older.
“One of the biggest misconceptions is that I changed my whole face,” Jenner said. “Which is false.” She explained that lip fillers are the only cosmetic procedure she has had and that she doesn’t want that to define her.
Lawrence said this is the first time she has publicly addressed the rumors, and she wanted people to understand that aging is normal and not something to attack.
She also credited makeup artists for completely changing how someone can look with just a few brushes and shadows.
Jenner, now a mom of two, said motherhood helped her focus more on confidence and less on online opinions about her appearance.
Together, the two stars shut down claims of secret surgeries, reminding fans that faces change, makeup transforms, and not everything is the result of a doctor’s office.
