Jamie Foxx Rushed to Hospital, Family Asks For Prayers

Jamie Foxx has been rushed to hospital after suffering a medical emergency, his family has confirmed.

The multi-talented American actor, comedian, singer, and producer is currently being treated in hospital.

Born Eric Marlon Bishop in 1967 in Texas, he adopted the stage name Jamie Foxx early in his career.

Foxx first gained fame as a comedian, and later transitioned into acting, earning critical acclaim for his roles in movies like “Ray”, “Django Unchained”, and “Collateral”.

He has won numerous awards for his work, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award.

In addition to his acting career, Foxx has also released several successful music albums and is known for his philanthropic work.

Though the medical emergency has not been disclosed, Foxx’s family has asked for prayers.

His daughter Corinne Foxx wrote on Instagram:

“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,”

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
