Hugh Jackman has revealed has undergone more skin cancer tests after a doctor flagged concerns during a routine check-up.
The Australian actor, now 57, appeared on social media sporting a fresh bandage across his nose.
Jackman, best known as Wolverine, urged fans to take sun safety seriously and get checked regularly.
Jackman had his first skin cancer removed back in 2013 and has undergone at least six procedures since.
In a video post, the actor said: “My doctor had noticed little things which could be, or could not be basal cell [carcinomas].”
Basal cell carcinoma is one of the most common forms of skin cancer.
It is classed as non-melanoma, meaning it is less likely to spread.
According to the NHS, treatment is successful in 90% of cases.
Actor Urges Fans: ‘Please Wear Sunscreen’
Jackman reassured fans that basal cell carcinomas are the “least dangerous” type of skin cancer.
But he stressed the importance of prevention.
“Please wear sunscreen, it is just not worth it, no matter how much you want a tan. Trust me!” he said.
Australia is widely considered the skin cancer capital of the world.
Each year, more than 11,500 people are diagnosed with melanoma and around 434,000 treated for other skin cancers.
A Shock Diagnosis
Jackman has previously admitted his diagnoses came as a surprise.

“It’s always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer’,” he told People magazine in 2015.
“Being an Australian it’s a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it.”
Born in Sydney to English parents, Jackman is one of Australia’s biggest stars.
His career includes roles in Van Helsing, The Prestige, and The Greatest Showman, but he remains most famous for playing Wolverine in the X-Men franchise.
