Gossip Girl Star Has Died

Hollywood is mourning the loss of actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory, who has sadly died at the age of 52.

The star, known for roles in The Big Bang Theory and Gossip Girl, passed away on October 3.

Tributes have flooded in from devastated colleagues, each remembering her remarkable talent and spirit.

Actor Walton Goggins led the heartfelt messages, calling Gregory “one of the best I’ve ever worked with.”

He described her as “a professional’s professional” and “a gatdamn SOPRANO that never missed a note.”

“She made me laugh like no other,” he added, promising she would be deeply missed.

Busy Phillips remembered her as “a light and a force,” while Leslie Jones and Niecy Nash praised her kindness.

Jason Ritter called her “so brilliant and so kind,” saying she would be missed by everyone who knew her.

Her ex-husband, Chester Gregory, shared the most emotional tribute of all.

The pair share a son together, and in his statement he described Kimberly as “brilliance embodied.”

He wrote: “A Black woman whose mind lit every room, whose presence carried both fire and grace.”

“You taught us courage, artistry, resilience, and how to keep showing up when life demanded too much.”

He added: “Our son is the living echo of your light. Your laughter and brilliance will never fade.”

A Remarkable Career

Born December 7, 1972, in Houston, Texas, Gregory built a career spanning stage, film, and television.

She studied at Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts before earning a psychology degree.

She also completed a master’s in social work from the University of Chicago, later training at DePaul University’s MFA program.

Her stage career brought critical acclaim, including a Drama Desk nomination for By the Way, Meet Vera Stark.

Gregory soon transitioned to the screen, making her television debut in 2007 on The Black Donnellys.

From there, she became one of TV’s most versatile performers.

Her résumé includes appearances on Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, Law & Order, Two and a Half Men, Shameless, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
