Dylan Mulvaney to Charge a Staggering Amount for College Visits this Year

Dylan Mulvaney, the 26-year-old trans influencer, has recently announced that she will be charging $40,000 per visit to college campuses for giving speeches to students.

This represents a significant increase from her previous fee of $26,250, which she charged earlier this year when she had six million followers on TikTok.

This decision comes in the aftermath of a controversial marketing partnership between Mulvaney and Bud Light, which turned out to be disastrous for the beer brand.

The partnership caused Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, to suffer a staggering loss of $27 billion in market capitalization. The backlash against Bud Light was so severe that it even led to boycotts and protests against the brand, resulting in Modelo taking over as the top-selling beer in America.

Luna Lindstrom, the business manager responsible for bringing Mulvaney to the college campus for a speech, stated that the event aimed to promote and advance trans rights.

During her speech at the University of Pittsburgh, Mulvaney shared her personal journey of transitioning to girlhood, which she had been documenting on her social media pages. Despite the subsequent controversy, Mulvaney remained determined to pursue her acting career and hoped to see more positive representation of trans people in scripted content.

The aftermath of the Bud Light partnership was significant, with Anheuser-Busch having to lay off hundreds of employees as part of a restructuring process. The layoffs did not affect frontline workers but sparked criticism from various political spectrums, particularly those with conservative politics.

Mulvaney broke her silence on the Bud Light debacle in June, expressing disappointment in the brand for not supporting her during the fallout. She addressed her followers and emphasized the importance of standing up against transphobia and hate. The negative impact on the beer’s sales was apparent, with a substantial 28.5 percent drop.

Despite the challenges she faced, Mulvaney celebrated a personal milestone of 500 days since starting her transition. In a heartfelt post on social media, she reflected on her journey and the learning experiences along the way. She admitted that sharing her trans joy publicly also made her vulnerable to trauma, leading her to scale back on content creation to prioritize her well-being.

As Mulvaney seeks new opportunities to engage with college students through speaking engagements, her fee has significantly increased. The move comes as she continues to advocate for trans rights and representation in the media, even after facing backlash and controversy.
