Danny Masterson, the actor known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” has been transferred to state prison, and TMZ has obtained the first look at his mug shot following the transfer. The photo reveals Masterson with a disheveled appearance, his hair and beard unkempt, as he poses without a smile.
Masterson was checked into North Kern State Prison in Delano, CA, located about 143 miles north of Los Angeles. This is the same prison where rapper Tory Lanez is currently incarcerated, although Lanez’s sentence is significantly shorter than Masterson’s.
In September, Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison after being convicted on two counts of forcible rape. Prior to his transfer to state prison, he was held in L.A. County Men’s Central Jail. While awaiting sentencing, Masterson was kept out of the general population, staying in the same area as other high-profile inmates from the past, like Suge Knight and O.J. Simpson.
Following his conviction, Masterson’s wife, actress Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce. Masterson agreed that Bijou should have full custody of their 9-year-old daughter. Masterson was charged with rape back in 2020, with the alleged victims claiming the incidents occurred between 2001 and 2003, during the height of his fame on “That ’70s Show.”
Despite the charges and conviction, Masterson has maintained his innocence, claiming the incidents were completely consensual. However, he is now settling into his new life behind bars, adapting to the stark reality of his lengthy prison sentence.
