Rapper Dank Demoss Slams Critics After Viral Lyft “Weight Discrimination” Drama

Rapper and viral star Dank Demoss has hit back after sparking a storm over an alleged Lyft discrimination incident.

The 24-year-old, real name Dajua Blanding, went viral after claiming a driver refused to take her to a Detroit Lions watch party.

The reason? He allegedly told her his car’s tires couldn’t handle her weight.

He suggested she try an Uber XL instead and promised she wouldn’t be charged for canceling.

But Demoss wasn’t buying it. She argued she’s ridden in that exact model before without issues. For her, it was discrimination.

“I’m skinny in my head”

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Demoss explained why she filed the lawsuit and why she’s not backing down.

“I don’t have a big person mindset. I’m skinny in my head,” she told the hosts.

The rapper said fat-shaming happens far more often than people admit, and she wants to fight back for everyone who’s faced it.

She also had a message to the critics: “If I wanted your man, I can have him and there’s nothing you can do about it”

Her lawyers, Jonathan Marko and Zach Runyan, are pushing the case forward. They argue denying rides over weight could break anti-discrimination laws.

Not everyone agreed though.

Some fans praised Demoss for standing up for herself. Others blasted her for not simply booking a bigger car.

Social media lit up with comments suggesting she was overreacting. But Demoss insists this is bigger than just one ride.

“This isn’t only about me,” she said. “It’s about stopping this from happening to anyone else.”

Lyft denies wrongdoing

Lyft quickly responded to the backlash.

In a statement, the company said: “Lyft unequivocally condemns all forms of discrimination. We believe everyone deserves respect and kindness.”

The platform reminded riders that drivers can refuse trips for safety concerns. But Demoss’s attorney insists weight isn’t a valid excuse.

“You cannot deny service based on protected characteristics,” Marko stressed.

What’s next?

Despite the trolls, Demoss is pushing ahead. Her legal team say the case is strong and could set a major precedent.

Meanwhile, the rapper is doubling down online, using her platform to highlight the issue of weight-based discrimination.

Whether the courts side with her or Lyft, one thing’s clear: the debate isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
