Superbad star Christopher Mintz-Plasse, famously known as McLovin, made headlines as he was spotted at a basketball game over the weekend, delighting fans by showing off his engagement to his fiancée Britt Bowman.
The 33-year-old actor attended the Celtics vs Hawks NBA playoff game at the TD Garden in Boston on 15th April, and shared a series of images from the night on social media, including footage of him on the fan cam.
In one of the images, Mintz-Plasse proudly displayed Bowman’s engagement ring, much to the excitement of the fans.
He captioned the post, “Boston you’re always a LIT ASS TIME. I love you see you soon. Celtics in four.”
Although the couple has not yet revealed the date of their upcoming wedding, fans were quick to flood the engagement post with well-wishes.
Mintz-Plasse and Bowman have been in a relationship since 2017 and the actor has previously taken to Instagram to express his admiration for his partner, calling her the “kindest person” he has ever met.
Mintz-Plasse rose to fame at the age of 17 with his breakout role in the hit movie Superbad.
However, filming the movie’s sex scene was a surreal experience for the young actor, as he revealed in a candid interview on The Rich Eisen Show.
Due to his age, Mintz-Plasse’s mother had to be present on set during the filming of the scene, which he described as uncomfortable.
“Yeah, it’s definitely uncomfortable when you’re – at the time, I was actually a virgin, so I had no idea what I was doing,” Mintz-Plasse recalled.
“I was very nervous, very scared, and then I look over to Video Village [the nickname given to the area around the monitor on set] and my mum is eating a handful of popcorn talking to the producers. She was having the time of her life!”
Despite the awkwardness, Mintz-Plasse has fond memories of his early success and is grateful for the opportunities it has brought him.
Over the years, he has continued to carve out a successful acting career, appearing in popular films such as Kick Ass, and now continues to captivate fans with his engagement news and candid glimpses into his personal life on social media.
As fans eagerly await more details about Mintz-Plasse and Bowman’s upcoming wedding, it is clear that the McLovin actor’s star continues to shine bright, both on and off the screen.
