It’s been a difficult time for the couple of Bruce And Emma Willis recently, with the actor’s family confirming that Bruce had been diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD.
Amongst all the sadness, wife, Heming Willis took to social media to share a heartwarming throwback of the couple: Amongst the lows, there’s certainly been some highs recently.
On Sunday, the Die Hard actor celebrated his 68th birthday, with his closest friends and family. Ex wife Demi Moore, whom Willis has three children with, was in attendance, and took to Instagram to share some rather wholesome family pics and videos from the day.
The actor can be seen cuddled up to his children in a series on photos on Instagram, as well as in high spirits in a video where he his family is singing happy birthday.
The celebrations don’t end there, however, and the following day was actually Bruce and Emma Heming Willis’ 14th wedding anniversary.
His wife took to Instagram to share a sweet yet emotional message on the day of their anniversary, explaining that how as a caregiver for someone with FTD, as happy as these milestones are they often come with a lot of sadness and grief.
On Tuesday, March 21, Heming Willis shared a picture of a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and in the caption, she revealed how she got them.
“Today marks 14 years of marriage to the greatest love of my life,” she wrote. “I woke with my heart full but what my mind kept going back to was another person’s act of kindness yesterday I wanted to share as it inspired the heck out of me.”
“In passing at a school event for our children, I mentioned to my friend that our anniversary was tomorrow. Cut to, I get a text from my friend later that day that said she left ‘a little something’ for me at my door,” Heming Willis continued. “It was this sweet bouquet of flowers (pictured) with a note that said Happy Anniversary amongst other things.”
However, Heming Willis also shared a heartwarming throwback from the couple’s 10th wedding anniversary, where they actually got their vows renewed.
”On our 10th wedding anniversary we decided to renew our vows in the same place we said “I do” back in 2009,” she wrote.
”I’m so happy we did. Seize every opportunity to unite and celebrate with family and friends. Those are the moments and beautiful pockets of memories that you get to hold on to for a lifetime. And we get to keep those memories safe and alive for the ones that might not be able to ”
